The Wii console sold more than 2 million in November, a new all-time record for a non-December month. The Nintendo DS system sold more than 1.56 million in November, which is now the second-highest total for a non-December month in history. The Wii console has sold 15.4 million in the United States since it launched in November 2006, and Nintendo DS has sold nearly 24.6 million in the United States since it launched in November 2004.
"Nintendo's record-breaking sales demonstrate that consumers are looking for the best value not only among video games, but also among all entertainment options," said Cammie Dunaway, Nintendo of America's executive vice president of Sales & Marketing. "Shoppers are looking for gifts that can be enjoyed by the whole family, and Nintendo provides an incomparable range of experiences that gets the whole family involved."

For any comic fans in the Long Island neighborhood, Serious Comics, located on Merrick Road in Massapequa, is going out of business. While this sucks, it's also a good time to catch up if you've fallen out of the loop. All issues from the last month are now $2.00 while all issues from before that are just $1.00. A lot of these comics can be sold for over 30 bucks on ebay so do yourself a favor and check them out while they're still around.

Radical Entertainment is at the open world genre again with its new game Prototype. If you were a fan of The Hulk:Ultimate Destruction (yeah the only good Hulk game) you should definitely keep an eye on this game. Here are some quick clips for you're viewing pleasure.
New details have leaked out along with the above image about Mark Millar's violence fest, "Kick-Ass". Kick-Ass is the story of Dave Lizewski, a comic obsessed teenager who decides to dress up and become a vigilante. The great thing about this comic is that it doesn't happen in fantasy world where Dave, a geeky unathletic kid, is able to beat up thugs and criminals. Dave actually spends most of the first four issues getting the absolute shit beaten out of him. He is stabbed, beaten, stomped, hit by a car and worse, all within the first issue. During his second fight with a group of thugs, being only slightly more successful, a bystander recorded the fight on a camera phone and uploaded it to Youtube and sparks an internet phenomenon around the world. Many other(mostly mentally ill) people become vigilantes themselves with some terrible and hilarious results. There's no shortage of cursing or violence in this comic and multiple times I've found myself laughing out loud and being shocked at the same time. I couldn't even believe Millar and Romita could get away with some of the things they put on the page. I don't want to give too much away but just know an eleven year old girl cuts the head off of a drug dealer with a katana.
So anyway, pre-production on a movie regardless of the fact the series is only four issues in but its generated a decent amount of buzz with some of the people involved. Nick Cage, has signed on to play an NYPD cop who trains his eleven year old daughter to become a murderous vigilante. The biggest news is that McLovin himself, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, has signed on to be the movies villain (the Robin looking guy on the left). As of now, they're shooting for a late 2009 release date but do yourself a favor and pick up the four issues that are already out. You won't be disappointed.Continue Reading»
The rumors will be confirmed at the Consumer Electronics Show which is being held in Las Vegas, in January 2009. Microsoft will reveal its attempt at an iPhone style of mobile phone. The new "Zunephone" will feature a larger screen, for possible multimedia program possibilities, and the infamous on-screen keyboard. If Microsoft can pull this together, it just might be a serious competitor to the iPhone. Seeing what has been done with the Xbox 360, I know I'll give Microsoft a try before Apple.
