Free Radical Design, the makers of the TimeSplitters franchise and the "Halo Killer" turned flop, Haze, have closed their doors. Free Radicals much hyped first person shooter for the PS3 "Haze" was not the game it was expected to be, selling very poorly and receiving negative criticism. Rumor has it Free Radical was also developing the new Star Wars Battlefront game but they lost the development deal. The remaining staff members reportedly met at a hotel this morning for a final company meeting and farewell. Still no word on what will happen to the very popular TimeSplitters franchise. Free Radical Design wasn't the first company rumored to be closing and with the world's bad economy, don't expect it to be the last.
