The movie adaptation of "Enders Game", the classic sci-fi novel, has reportedly been scrapped according to the author, Orson Scott Card. Card, unhappy with the direction producers wanted to take it, put an end to the adaptation. Card went on to explain he would not let Hollywood turn his book into a "tough-hero action film. …the human relationships are absolutely essential — an honest presentation of the story.” While I personally hate Orson Scott Card for being an ignorant, hateful, bat shit insane homophobe that wants to overthrow the U.S. government, Ender's Game is one of my favorite books and I like knowing it's author won't let his story get molested by Hollywood for a easy pay day.
