The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly

Mutant League is pretty much where Blitz got their ideas except instead of steroid taking football players making late hits, ML had teams of mutants, aliens, monsters, and robots making late hits and then tearing their opponents goddamn arms off. The game is basically football(later hockey) but players could be killed and dismembered on the field by either the other team or the traps on the field like chainsaws and mines. Referees could be bribed to call ridiculous penalties(5 minutes for crying) and they could also be killed for making those calls. While rumors of a remake or XBLA version have been around for a while, a new game called Blood Bowl is being developed which will be a spiritual successor to ML and use the Warhammer license for its characters. While at first it seems like a regular football game with a new visual design, there will be a lot more to the game than one would expect from a title called Blood Bowl. Team customization, player customization, a turn based mode which I will probably never use, and more. The trailer still looks like its got a little bit of work to do so hopefully they fix the contact between players and add some more gore but it looks like its a pretty interesting take that could get non-Madden players to want to throw the old spike covered pigskin around. Also, some of the players carry fucking chainsaws. Enough said.
