A couple of new pictures surfaces online today for the upcoming movie adaptation of "Kick-Ass", the ultra violent comic series from writer Mark Millar, best known for his work on "Wanted" and "The Ultimates". The above picture shows the title character in his costume. First let me say this for anyone that hasn't followed the comic. It isn't supposed to be serious. He's just some geeky kid that wants to be a superhero. That being said the costume looks true to how ridiculously retarded looking a 16 year old boy would make his costume.The second photo shows Dave Lizewski,AKA Kick-Ass, in a comic shop, the place where he got his inspiration to be a superhero. He's the one in the middle with the fro and big glasses. Up until now I hadn't known what the actor playing him looks like and he fits the geeky character pretty well.
The final picture is of Nick Cage and movie daughter who he will train to become "Hit-Girl", the katana wielding vigilante. I really hope they don't shy away from making her the violent creature she is because the look of an 11 year old girl murdering a room full of drug dealers is both hilarious and terrifying at the same time.
